Summary: if you are content with the modular accommodation offered by the Chain Hotels this isn’t the place for you. But if you would like somewhere with character and history both in the Villa and the town then this is the place. The typically French house is divided into several self-contained apartments with free parking opposite which adjoins a small park on the edge of of the Gironde Estuary and near to the huge Citadelle commissioned by Louis X1V in the 18th Century. The welcome extended by the Owners was exceptionl and the common theme in the Guest book was “We wish we were staying longer!”
