Positive: The location is fantastic — I loved opening up the blinds and seeing the Sisters while I was eating breakfast 😌. There are a number of amenities that are available as well, which can be accessed and leveraged once you talk with the Guest Services folks. The condo’s features were excellent and the touches were nice; it was kind of funny that no one has busted open the deck of playing cards yet — they’re still wrapped 🙂.
Negative: - I fell on the icy walkway outside the front door 🫤. I understand that it’s winter, but it surprised me given that I was wearing mountaineering boots. I’m used to spills (I snowboard for fun 🤣), but I believe adding some sort of mat or something to help add texture to the deck would help a lot in terms of preventing future accidents. - It was dark when I arrived. Fortunately I had the headlamp, but others might not have that. - There’s a checkout checklist which mentions needing to wash dishes (if used) and linens, but neither a dishwasher nor a laundry area is in the property. The directions didn’t state how to do it (and I neglected to grab the map), so I did a best effort of gathering the used linens to help the cleaning aid staff. (the next part is less about the property… more about the booking experience) I went to the Guest Services desk to check in and ask questions, and discovered that there was a $9 parking fee. Not a huge issue—just surprising (it’s on Vacasa I think, but I don’t remember seeing it on booking.com). The person at the front desk (very nice and helpful) helped me figure out where the property was located and gave me a short tour of the facilities. When I got to the room, I was puzzled because the PIN provided in my booking.com reservation didn’t let me in. It turns out that there was a separate door code provided in the Vacasa confirmation email. Once I used that code, I could open the door.
Summary: Great spot to stay, but the overall booking experience could be a bit better
