Summary:
Get away from it all with a relaxing stay under the stars at the Tiny Feather! This cute little gem is nesteled back in the deep woods of Kentucky. Situated just 20 minutes off the mountain parkway at the exit in Slade, the Tiny Feather has all the amenities while still maintaining privacy by being tucked away in the Daniel Boone National Forest. This cabin features a kitchen space with all the necessities for a cozy night in as well as a private hot tub on the deck surrounded by the trees.
The Space:
This quaint tiny home is the perfect little space to rest your head. Enjoy the spacious porch, with a propane grill, hot tub, and patio furniture all surrounded by the beautiful forest. As you walk inside you’ll feel at home with 2 queen beds, a large closet and flatscreen TV. The kitchenette has a 2 burner electric hot plate, a toaster oven, sink and full size fridge. A ladder leads up to the loft with 2 twin beds. There is a mini split unit in the center of the home to heat and cool the space as well as a ceiling fan above the beds.

Other Things to Note:
Each cabin is unique to specific items they include, however, RRG Getaways supplies the listed items below at all cabins as a baseline for guests. A starter amount of the following: hand soap, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, dish soap, dish pods, laundry pods, and basic cleaning supplies. Any additional items needed will be the guest's responsibility to supply. We do not supply anything considered perishable or consumable, this includes but is not limited to, coffee, salt, pepper, oil and the like.
This tiny home has an open concept layout, so please note there are no enclosed bedrooms.
While we welcome ATV's to the property for parking, please do not drive them around the premises.
Toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash) are not provided. Pets are not allowed at this cabin.
This cabin is very secluded, and located down a short gravel road. A 2wd, low clearance vehicle will not have any issues reaching this cabin.
There is a smart tv in the cabin but will only work through a hot spot, since there isn’t Wi-Fi at this cabin. basic cable not provided.

Summary: I wanted to love this place because of the glowing reviews. While my stay wasn’t bad, my expectations didn’t quite align with what I experienced. Here are a few key points I wish had been made clearer in the listing: 1. No Wi-Fi: While this was mentioned at the bottom of the listing, it’s something that should be more prominently noted, especially since Wi-Fi is so standard nowadays. 2. No Stove or Microwave: The listing does mention a hot plate, but I missed it. A lack of stove and microwave is something I would expect to be highlighted more clearly in the kitchen description. 3. Door Doesn’t Close: Many guestbook entries mentioned this issue for over a year. The gap allowed bugs inside, and I counted 20 flies in the room one night. It was frustrating. 4. Bugs & Cleanliness: I understand it’s a wooded area, but finding dead bugs, roaches, and cobwebs in the kitchen and corners of the room was unsettling. The space could use a deep clean. 5. Tiny Bathroom: The bathroom is very cramped. shower design caused water to flood the floor. You can’t turn the water on without being in the shower. 6. Top Beds: The low ceiling made it feel claustrophobic, you have maybe a couple inches between your face and the ceiling. 7. Visiting Dogs: While we enjoyed the dogs, it was unexpected. They interfered with our outdoor cooking by getting into our food. Based on the guestbook they are frequent visitors. Guests should be prepared for that ahead of time.
