Privately owned, the award-winning Royal Castle Hotel has a great location, in the center of the pretty town of Dartmouth, with its cobbled streets, intriguing shops and world-famous restaurants and bars. Rooms are en suite, and all of them are unique and individually decorated. Many of the rooms have river views. Every room has a TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Positive: Fantastic location, very central. Lovely rooms. Great pub downstairs. Breakfast had a good selection if you wanted hot food.
Negative: No lift. Not all rooms have a view, ours didn’t. Be careful re parking in the area. Not clearly signed.
