Positive: Sweett - Rue de Rivoli is Big! Great for 5 travelers. The bathrooms were the best we encountered on our trip - the showers were nice and big. The location is great. Rue de Rivoli is a popular main street with restaurants and shops (as is the street behind and around), and being on the 4th floor (US 5th), there was no street noise. The elevator was useful for luggage or on late nights, but we mostly used the stairs. On this trip, we stayed on both sides of Notre Dame - a few days in the Latin District and on our return, here. I preferred this location. We were comfortable with our young college sons heading out for the night from here, as quite a few of the recommended spots are close to here. Also, convenient to the metro. The washing machine was nice and the heating racks in the bathrooms worked well for drying.
Negative: A little more rough around the edges than the photos convey. The wooden floors creak - and I mean creak - all of them. It didn't bother some of us, but it was like nails on a chalkboard for me. The website link you receive to open the doors is interesting. There are three doors to access the apt. The second door requires you open the door from the website, meaning you need a phone with power. We were constantly riding the red on all our phones, so this placed a little pressure, especially when the boys went out at night. (PS bring the best rapid chargers you have and only the adapters with long pins - short pins do not work. and ones with multiple ports. Maps was draining my battery).
