Positive: The property was well located and within easy walking distance of everything we wanted to do. The staff was friendly, helpful, and available. Also, major kudos for one particular item: in the shower, there was an additional bottle of shampoo that was NOT affixed to the wall! Hooray, finally someone who understood that there’s just no way to get shampoo out of those ridiculously-affixed bottles!!!! The breakfast was not the most plentiful we’ve seen, but with the exception of the fill-your-own teabags and napkins, there was no paper to be found anywhere in the dining area. There were lovely salt & pepper shakers on each table, ceramic coffee cups, and blocks of butter (salted and sweet): I’m in heaven!
Negative: I’m really nit-picking here, as everything really was very nice at this Mercure (and we’ve stayed at many others). The only ding was that the water pressure was uninspiring.
Summary: Excellent stay … excellent value … superb staff!
