Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Really lovely building in a beautiful vineyard with charming views of the surrounding mountains and lake, especially at night! The hotel has a friendly family feel and the unique interior similar to what you might find in a French chateau. The breakfast was good and we had a nice meal in the small hotel restaurant the evening before. The rooms are large and authentic to the charm of the building. The hotel is very close to the Vergina Royal tombs and brand new museum. This is a real hidden gem in an area that doesn’t cater well for overnight tourists as the archaeological sites in Vergina are only a 1 hour day trip from Thessaloniki.

Negative: I visited with my mother and we stayed in different rooms. My only complaint, which is a small one was that I had a room on the 1st floor at the top of the stairs and a group returned late for drinks in the lounge downstairs until midnight and the noise carried up the stairs. It kept me up for a few hours but these things happen from time to time and can’t be helped.
