Positive: I stayed at Den Ommegang so that I could visit some of the Lambiek producers in the area. One of them, Den Herberg, is just a bit further along the street. I used local bus and train services to visit several others. The room was very spacious, with a comfortable bed and chairs. There was a nice view over the terrace at the back of the restaurant, which has an interesting menu. It was good to have a fridge so that I could keep food fresh and sort out my own breakfast. There's easy access to the Zennepad footpath along the river. Halle is a short walk away.
Negative: The coffee machine only makes coffee. Fortunately I had a kettle with me so I was able to make other hot drinks. There only seemed to be subscription services on the television.
Summary: Very convenient for the places I wanted to visit.
