Positive: Nice property, clean and comfortable, in a good location.

Negative: I messaged the host twice to ask for the access details on the day I had booked the property but got no reply. I telephoned but got an answerphone so left a message, got no reply. Called again, still no reply. Emailed, no reply. Check in was 2pm, it was now 2.50pm. Called Booking.com who said they would try to contact the host but had to give them 45 minutes to respond, hardly fair as it was already 50 minutes past check in time. Host finally responded with access code and said he had not responded before because he was not in the country. Then booking.com emailed to say the host had cancelled the booking. Messaged the host again and he said the booking was not cancelled. Went ahead with the stay only to find out yesterday that booking.com had refunded our stay. We then had to pay the host directly but he tried to get more money from us for a cleaning fee which was already included in the original payment. All in all it was a bit of a mess. Hopefully this was a one off.

Summary: Nice property but wouldn't stay again after a difficult check in.
