Summary: Brilliant stay, but watch out for extra booking feesMy stay at AJ Lodge was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. The hotel was spotlessly clean, the room was incredibly comfy, and the morning breakfast was top-notch.However, I experienced a bit of discomfort regarding the final bill. I was charged an extra £20 upon arrival. I had assumed that booking a quadruple room meant four people were automatically covered under the base price, and that breakfast would be included. I highly recommend double-checking the fine print on guest counts and meal inclusions when booking to avoid surprises. Despite this minor setback, the quality of the stay itself was excellent.
