Positive: Amazing view of the river! We loved the main level porch/large balcony and comfortable rocking chairs. We also enjoyed the area down by the river. There was a small fire-pit we enjoyed several nights of our stay. Kitchen came well equipped with what we needed for our stay. Appliances were in working condition and there were even a few spices in the cabinet we really needed one day when we cooked breakfast! Thank you for not throwing items away that others can use. House had plenty of blankets and towels for our stay. We did do a few loads of laundry during our stay (1-week) and laundry soap was provided for that as well. Very helpful. House was very clean upon arrival. This house is very close to town. Just an 8-10 minute drive to local restaurants, grocery stores, and shops. House was even close enough for Dominos delivery! Which was helpful in New Year's Eve! We truly enjoyed our stay here.
Negative: We noticed in previous reviews about the temperature of the showers. Unfortunately, our showers were NOT hot. They were just warm at best. Someone needs to come out and check out the situation. We noticed that the kitchen sink gets very hot to touch, but the showers just get warm. This could be due to a regulator system of some sort in the showers, but when it's 20-30 degrees outside, guests NEED a hot shower. If someone were to take a shower and the mirrors did not fog up, that's NOT a hot shower. The most disappointing part about this is that I DID contact booking.com BEFORE our tip about this issue and they "assured us" it had been addressed. I promise it was NOT. I sure hope this is fixed for future guests. This would probably be acceptable during summer when it's hot outside but when it's literally freezing outside, HOT water in the showers is a MUST!
