Positive: Nice location--not near the center of Medellin, but in a decent area (12 de Octubre), an easy walk to the metro-cable, which connects to the metro, which serves the entire Medellin area. So, it's easy to get anywhere in Medellin. Grocery stores and places to eat are also close by. The apartment is nicely outfitted and comfortable. There is even a washing machine in the apartment. Estefania's dad personally walked us to a nice place to eat, gave us directions to the grocery store, made haircut arrangements for us and walked us to the nearby salon, and he even loaned us his card for the metro, to use while we were there. We just charged it back up and returned it when we left.
Negative: Lighting in the bathroom was a little on the dim side. But the only really negative thing I can say about the apartment is actually about the neighbors' dogs. Most nights we went to bed to the sound of a couple of nearby barking dogs. When we woke up in the morning, soon there was the sound of neighbors barking dogs. They had apparently been left alone in their respective houses and were lonely. While the noise was noticeable and a bit bothersome, it didn't prevent us from sleeping well and enjoying the stay. Considering the value for the money, Estefania's place was absolutely great!
