Positive: We loved the lodge size, comfortable bedrooms with heating as was very cold, location was great, access to the golf club & restaurant was useful and the beautiful estate to walk around at the end of a busy day. The staff were all helpful too.
Negative: In the lodge the living area could do with a heater to warm up the downstairs - it was very cold down there and the log fireplace takes a long time to warm up this living area. The kitchen utensils need replacing - no sharp knife to carve meat, no kitchen scissors to cut open food packaging. We had a power outage at night for one hour (which was dealt with asap) but the inverter did not work and none of the solar lights worked either! These are all things advertised on the booking site.
Summary: A beautiful place, we would love to visit again.
