Wonderful lakefront home overlooking Lake Arrowhead (aka Buhl Lakes). This fabulous updated (see new photos of the thoughtful updates...more to come) vintage lakehouse has 2700 sf of living space with 174 ft of private lake frontage....lots of room for the whole family to enjoy! We have an ideal location for swimming, fishing and boating with plenty of space to just unwind and relax. There is immediate access to the main snowmobiling and orv trails right outside our door and plenty of room for your toy haulers in the driveway. For the ski lovers, there are cross country skiing trails in the area and downhill ski resorts just 20 minutes away. Don't forget about morel mushrooms in the spring and the beautiful fall foliage.
Our guests will have access to the heated in ground community pool Memorial weekend through Labor Day. Pool, pavilion, multiple playgrounds, and basketball court are just a short walk from our home. We have two kayaks, pedal boat and an aluminum row boat with life jackets provided. Jump in the lake or fish right off the dock! The shoreline at the cottage is grassy with a sandy bottom. Relax on the hammock in the trees while looking out on the lake. There is also a large lakeside paver patio and bonfire pit for night time star gazing, sing-a-longs and roasting marshmallows.
Whileaway Lakehouse has a spectacular view off the main floor 60' balcony and matching lower patio. This light filled, well appointed and provisioned home sits at the top point of Lake Arrowhead... kick back and enjoy the view! We are located in an incredible, private, Northern Michigan vacation resort community. The Arrowhead community consists of 640 acres of forested land, multiple lakes and trails for you to explore in all seasons.
Located in the golf mecca of Michigan, we have 29 golf courses within 10-30 minutes. We also are within 15-60 minutes to downhill skiing including Boyne Mountain, Nubs Nob and Treetops. Boyne Mountain also has a wonderful indoor water park (lots of fun for the kids).
The home has two large family rooms which is perfect for families and groups with two separate levels of fun. There are two bedrooms up (with queen beds) and two bedrooms down (two twin beds in each room). There's also a queen size sofa bed in the lower level family room.
We have a dining room large enough to accommodate all lodgers plus outdoor seating on the balcony and lower patio.
Whileaway Lakehouse is centrally located and just 15 minutes to Gaylord, 30 minutes to Boyne City, 45 minutes to Petosky and an hour to Traverse City and Mackinaw City.
