Lake Wylie Gray (LWG) is the beautiful waterfront home on the lake and is perfect for family and group trips. This home is uniquely designed and has expansive views of the main channel and the island in front of the home. LWG is located in a peaceful lake setting and is minutes away to major shopping, restaurants, Charlotte Douglas International Airport, the Southend, and Uptown. Family and friends will enjoy spending time together for a memorable vacation get-away!
The space:
-LWG is designed to maximize the sweeping views of Lake Wylie, both inside and outside. The inside of the home has EXPANSIVE windows overlooking the lake.
-Bedrooms one, two, and three are all on the second floor of the home:
-Bedroom one is the primary suite with 15' ceiling. Huge windows overlooking the lake, exterior balcony, king bed, 55" Roku smart TV and 72" ceiling fan. Private en-suite bathroom with two vanities, two-person spa tub, and double-head shower will enhance the spa-like experience.
-Bedroom two is the "blue" room, down the hall from bedroom one. This room has views of the lake with one queen bed and 55" Roku smart TV. The blue room bedroom shares a bathroom with bedroom three.
-Bedroom three is the "chandelier" room and features crystal lighting, one queen bed, views of the lake and a 55" Roku smart TV. This bedroom shares a bathroom with bedroom two.
-The bathroom located on the second floor serves bedrooms two and three. This bathroom has large double vanities and a separate room with shower and toilet, enabling multiple people to utilize at the same time.
-Bedroom four is located on the third floor of the home. This bedroom features views of the lake on both sides of the home, ceiling fan, two queen beds, and its own en-suite bathroom with vanity and standing shower.
-Bedroom five isn't a bedroom, it is the walk-out basement and provides an additional space for up to two guests on a high-quality queen inflatable mattress. The basement has a powder room and the guests using the basement as a sleeping area may use one of the other bathrooms to shower.
On the main floor of LWG are the following areas:
-The breakfast nook is set up to enjoy a casual meal with views overlooking the lake and outside upper deck area. Table with seating for six.
-The kitchen is set up to prepare meals for up to 12 people. The main refrigerator has a freezer and icemaker located inside the freezer. There is an additional ice maker located to the right of the refrigerator to ensure plenty of ice on hot days. One convection wall oven and a combination microwave/convection/browning oven are available for food preparation in addition to the four-burner gas range top. Plenty of utensils, plates, glassware (including plastics for outdoors), pots and pans, Keurig coffee maker, standard pot coffee maker and blender are supplied. Bar-style seating is available for up to four people.
-The main dining room, located across from the kitchen, has seating for up to ten people.
-The great room (living room) is in the same area as the kitchen and dining room, down a couple of steps. Lots of casual seating and some of the best views of the lake are from inside this room. 65" Roku smart TV and Sonos system are available along with high volume 72" ceiling fan. Just off the great room is a large outdoor deck with comfortable seating to enjoy the views or read a magazine.
-The library has two comfortable leather library chairs, books for your enjoyment, and a workstation with great views of the lake and island.
-Next to the library is the game room. There is a game table which can accommodate up to eight people playing poker, cards, board games or puzzles.
-Also on the second level are the laundry room with a full size washer and dryer and a powder room.
-The spiral staircase from the great room leads down to the walk-out basement.
Walk-out basement:
- Large, comfortable sofa and 65" Roku TV. The basement has a Sonos sound system, foosball table, and two standing arcade games. The basement has a powder room and great views of the lake from the french doors leading to the lower deck.
Lower deck:
-Plenty of space for up to eight people to sunbathe on lounge chairs and also has a patio table with an umbrella to accommodate four people.
-Around the corner from the basement deck are both a natural grass area to one side of the home and an artificial turf area to the other side. A number of games are supplied for the outdoor areas: cornhole, oversized Jenga and Connect Four games.
Upper deck:
-Adjacent to the main areas of the home and includes a table with seating for up to ten people, outdoor wood fireplace, and grill for meal preparation.
Parking:
-Two cars maximum in the garage. Alternately, the garage spaces may be used to store personal watercraft and/or a small boat trailer. Garage doors must be kept fully shut at all times when not moving cars in or out of the garage.
-Four cars maximum on the driveway. No boats, personal watercraft, or trailers may be parked on the driveway. Boats, personal watercraft, or trailers unable to fit into the garage with doors fully shut must be stored at an offsite location. Please contact us for recommendations.
-No commercial vehicles may be parked on the driveway.
-No street parking is allowed and there is no street parking available.
Guest access:
-Guests will have access to all rooms in the main house. The attic closet and one closet in the main bedroom will be locked for owner's personal items. Guest will have access to the detached garage for parking two vehicles. All outdoor areas are available to guests, including the upper deck with fireplace, grass area, garden, artificial turf area, primary suite with balcony, great room balcony overlooking the lake, basement deck overlooking the lake, and the outdoor shower. Wifi + TV:
-We have a fast internet connection coming into the house and have good coverage everywhere, plus some outdoor coverage. All TV's are TCL branded smart ROKU TV's and are set up on guest access. This means that you are able to access your apps and login to your accounts while staying. The TV's will allow you to enter your check-out date and will automatically clear all of your login information.
Other things to note:
-LWG is located just behind a small island on the main channel of the lake. The area around the home is in a no-wake zone, which means boaters need to be moving slowly; this makes for a great swimming area and our dock has a swim ladder to make entering and exiting the lake very easy. (be sure to always be aware of your surroundings and to look out for boats)
Twelve (12) People MAXIMUM occupancy at any time:
-We do NOT allow parties, gatherings, cookouts, fish frys, barbeques, weddings, bachelor or bachelorette parties, or any other type of events at the house.
-The house is designed to accommodate 10-12 MAXIMUM people at any time. No other friends, family, or visitors.
Open Flame
-We do NOT allow open flame inside the house, including candles and fireplaces. You are welcome to utilize the outdoor fireplace. We do have seasoned hardwood available for a nominal fee.
