BAREFOOT BUNGALOW is the perfect retreat for a small vacationing family, two couples, or for an extended work / play adventure or temporary housing between homes. It’s seated in center of the idyllically quiet, gated community of Monarch Hills within the luxurious larger community of Ritz Point. Walk to the beach, Dana Point Harbor, Dana Point Headlands, The Ocean Institute, shops, and restaurants! BAREFOOT BUNGALOW is located on a hill above all of these amazing local attractions so it is best to have a vehicle.
BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS: Sleeps 4 - 6 comfortably. Two in a king-size bed in the primary bedroom with en-suite, 2 in a queen-size bed in the secondary bedroom, and two in a full-size bed in the loft. It’s like having 2 primary bedrooms!
KITCHEN & DINING: Fully outfitted kitchen! Tons of light! New appliances, solid surface countertops, large farm-style sink, and sleek, modern cabinets make for easy meal preparation. The separate dining room adjacent to the kitchen seats 4 comfortably and is perfect for entertaining or hosting a game night with your friends and family during your stay.
FAMILY ROOM: Enjoy the cool, ocean breezes from the spacious gathering room. It offers a very large, comfortable, wrap around modern sofa with gas fireplace. A large flat screen TV above the gas fireplace to complete the room.
OUTDOORS: Ocean views from entry patio! This home faces a greenbelt away from other neighbors. With access to the family room, kitchen, and primary bedroom it’s a great space to enjoy a glass of wine or reading your favorite book. There is a full-size washer and dryer in a separate closet off the balcony near the primary bedroom. This special vacation hideaway offers a single covered parking stall for 1 car. There are also beach chairs and umbrellas provided for your use.

It’s also convenient and within a short 15-minute drive (or a 30 minute bike ride for the more adventurous types) from the historic San Juan Capistrano where the Mission San Juan Capistrano and the quaint Los Rios District is surrounded with charming antique shops, restaurants, and art galleries. There’s even a petting zoo for the smaller members of your family!

Summary: Brad, the owner of the condo, is outstanding with respect to communication with vacation renters. Any question we had, he answered promptly. As this is a "condo" the assumption should be that renters are likely cooking a good portion of their stay. As such, a few little extra's like serving bowls (once you cook the food, you need somewhere to put it, like meats or pastas or vegetables). Similarly, a few extra baking or roasting pans would have been helpful. We are greek and italian, so the cooking happens fulltime even on vacation!! :) What I will say though is that Brad was incredibly sweet to ensure I was supplied with actual bread baking pans (I asked if he could have them there for our arrival and there were 3 of them!!). Thank you Brad.....we baked our bread the entire time of our stay, and are super appreciative of your care in this regard! From a housekeeping standpoint, overall nice and clean, but the floors needed a good wash before our arrival (we wore indoor slippers at all times). There were several very large spiders in the condo...we know it's California and bugs are inevitable, however, we couldn't be sure whether the condo maybe hadn't been used in a little while....maybe the cleaners didn't catch them? No big deal....once we got rid of the three big ones, nothing major after that! The screen sliding doors also need to be repaired as none of them closed properly. Last suggestion, maybe a small side coffee table on both sides of the couch.
