The Neighborhood:
The neighbors tend to run, take their pets for a walk, sit down to have an ice cream, watch the sunsets or read the newspaper. The park was the entrance of the disappeared Hippodrome of the Countess, since the Hacienda de la Condesa was located there, a prosperous property of the Countess of Miravalle where herds were raised and corn and magueyes were planted.

Summary: The design of the apartment was very good, with 2 spacious bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. At first glance, the apartment was neat and clean. However, many surfaces were covered with a layer of dust, especially the kitchen bar. Seating was adequate, but not very comfortable. When searching on VRBO for an apartment, we assumed the apartment had A/C because a ceiling mounted unit was visible in the first photo of the listing. When reviewing the listing after we made the deposit, we found that the unit did not have A/C, and the company declined our request for a full refund, in spite of the misleading photo. We were concerned when we noticed ear plugs and sleep masks by both beds, and discovered the need for both the first night. The apartment is located at the intersection of two busy avenues, and we were kept awake each night with the sounds of car horns, heavy trucks unloading to stock neighborhood stores, LOUD motorcycles, people talking loudly, street vendors, dogs fighting, etc. We had to open the windows at night in an attempt to get the apartment cool enough to sleep. The apartment had a small supply of paper towels and toilet paper, but not enough for our 10 day stay. We tried several times to contact the company and concierge by email, text and telephone to request more, but received only one email in response, asking if the apartment had any when we arrived. There was a full-sized washer and dryer, which was helpful. No dishwasher, and no dish washing liquid.
