Welcome to grandpa’s lake cabin. Our vintage cabin is a throw back to the 1960, you’ll feel like you’ve walked into your grandparents northern Michigan lake cabin. This amazingly quiet three bedroom cabin is located on a private lake, set back in the middle of the woods. No cable tv, no internet, only quietness and relaxation. If you’re looking to go back in time as it was in the good old days, this cabin is for you. With wood burning stove, fire place, well water, vintage decor and peaceful lake side fire pit. Time to kick back and bass fish off the dock, take a swim in the clean clear crisp lake and watch the wildlife. Loon and Eagles have be seen and herd in the summer. Enjoy board games, dvd player and lots of nature, you can stroll the quaint neighborhood or go for a long hike on the state land that surround our private subdivision. Come experience true Michigan.
Snowmobile, ATV or hike to the State Trails right from thie cabin. The home has lake views from almost all the rooms. The area is very quiet and private recreational community, please be quiet and courteous while staying, no parties or events. The cabin has been in our family for over 70 years. The cabin has 3 bedrooms with 2 of the bedrooms are up stairs, one bedroom downstairs. All rooms have a 1 full size beds and one room has a twin and full, Sorry we will not offer towels, linens or blankets, please bring your own, the home can sleep about 6 adults. A full kitchen with all cookware and 2 full bathrooms. TV with a wall of DVD's, some board games and lots of books to enjoy, 'sorry no cable or Wifi". The cabin is on acre of land with a large grass yard and lots of very large trees.
This area is very pristine with 2 lakes to explore and hundreds of miles of state land. Great for ATV, Snowmobiles, trail skiing, fishing, kayaking, hiking, hunting or just relaxing. For winter the cabin is heated by propane furnace or you can use the wood-burning stove. Gaylord is 9 miles away and has everything you need, we are centrally located within about an hour to all that Northern Michigan has to offer. The cabin is equipped with a modern stove, microwave, coffee maker, refrigerator, washer and dryer, central heating and TV “no cable”. Thank you for previewing our listing.
