The wonderful classy Villa San Quirico is located in Bettona, an enchanting borgo of Etruscan origin in the centre of the Umbrian Valley. The renovation works, completed in 2005, have given life to a dream location, externally clad in stone, with a breathtaking view towards Assisi. Travertine, antique terracotta and chestnut wood, skilfully adapted to cover the ceilings and floors, are the materials that express the architecture of this luxury property, characterised by a huge elegant living room with fine furnishings, exquisite carpets, numerous decorations of medieval and classical inspiration that animate the walls, and enlivened by arches and large windows facing the garden, creating a magical and fascinating atmosphere. Villa San Quirico consists of the main villa and an annex and is perfect for family reunions, groups of friends or families with children who want to spend their holidays together while, at the same time, protecting their privacy. The bedrooms are comfortable, spacious and tastefully furnished with ensuite bathrooms, and the whole villa is equipped with air conditioning. The pride of this beautiful property, in which the standards of quality and comfort reach a rare excellence, consists of the lush, well-kept garden with an infinite mantle of green grass and colourful flowers everywhere that surround the villa, an outdoor dining area under the portico and the splendid infinity pool, purified with salt and lined with grey stone, with one part heatable, from where you can admire the beautiful surrounding landscape. We are located a few kilometres from Bettona which allows you to move around easily to explore the wonders of the Umbrian and Tuscan territory: typical little towns and villages, with their surrounding walls and picturesque views, and beautiful art cities such as Spoleto, Assisi, Perugia, Todi, Montefalco, Rome and Florence. Services and shops for basic needs are only 3 km away.
Interior:
The property consists of the main house and the annex. MAIN HOUSE: on two floors communicating internally and externally. The main entrance, located on the ground floor, leads into the entrance hall with the Turkish bath in front. Next to it is the large living room with sitting area and dining area with cosy soft sofas, table, chairs and fireplace. The living room leads to the kitchen with direct access out to the large portico, organised as a dining area and a relaxation area with sofas and small tables. Completing the floor is the laundry room. All the living room and kitchen areas have French windows for direct access out to the set-up garden areas. To the right of the main entrance, a 21-step travertine staircase leads up to the first floor which can also be reached via the external stone staircase. The first floor consists of a splendid large sitting room, furnished with sofas and Smart TV, which, in turn, divides the sleeping area in two. On the left is a double bedroom, with ornamental fireplace, ensuite bathroom with shower and direct exit out to the external stone staircase, and another double bedroom (with loft, unfurnished, reached by a wooden 7-step staircase) with ensuite bathroom with shower. On the right is another double bedroom (with loft, unfurnished, with two wooden staircases, one reached from the living room and the other, with 7 steps, from the bathroom) with a large ensuite bathroom with shower and whirlpool bath. There is air conditioning throughout the house and the annex. ANNEX: a single floor, located a few metres from the villa and on the same level as it. The main entrance leads into a sitting room surrounded by windows facing the garden with fully-equipped kitchen, table and chairs. From here you continue directly to a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower. Adjacent to the annex is another building with a lemonary and next to it the pet house. This latter has a single floor, with two kennels with direct exit out to a small external enclosure. The room is equipped with air conditioning, heating, animal shower and sink. It is available for those who wish to bring their 4-legged friend on vacation.
Park:
The approximately 2-hectare, fenced garden of Villa San Quirico is a luxuriance of many types of blooms that alternate in the well-kept lawn areas around the house. A decorative fountain in front of the entrance lends an additional touch of refinement to the villa. Outside the French windows of the living room and kitchen is a large portico with a furnished dining area and a sitting area with sofas and armchairs, ideal for relaxing at any time of the day but, above all, for enjoying an apéritif with a splendid view of Assisi and Monte Subasio in the foreground. Under a romantic vine-covered pergola, between the villa and the annex, is a gas barbecue and a sink, where guests can prepare meals. In a private area, near the second annex, can be seen a few solar panels. Just past the automatic iron gate is a convenient parking area with space for at least 5 cars as well as a 2-car garage.
Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.
Swimming Pool:
The magnificent infinity pool, with a part that can be heated in the colder months or cooled down in the warmer months, is located behind the house and about 15 m from it. It lies at a slightly lower level and is reached across part of the garden and down a short flight of steps. The rectangular pool, lined in grey stone to give it as natural a look as possible, measures 20 x 5 m with the depth varying from 1.20 to 1.40 m and has salt purification, lighting and three sets of 4 large submerged Roman steps for access to the water. The solarium area, in stone paving and lawn, is equipped with sunbeds. There is a solar shower and many beautiful centuries-old olive trees that provide natural shade during the hottest hours. The swimming pool is open from the last Saturday in April to the first Saturday in October.
Pets: Yes, max midsize. € 30,00 per animal per week to be paid on site. Please note that the animals cannot be left alone in the house. In the property there is a pet house. Acceptance of animals to the facility must be previously authorised by the owner upon communication of the number of animals, size and breed.
