Positive: Staff were fantastic, the fact we were greeted at the villa and given a tour along with a refreshing welcome drink truly set Villa Pagoda apart from other places we have stayed in Bali. House keeper was also lovely, she was always on time or not if you didn't need her on certain days. Nothing was too difficult for them to arrange. Transport to activities was easy to book through villa conceirge even on short notice. Disappointed we didn't make the most of the other services they offered during our stay. The villa itself is beautiful, you can see its age in a few areas but to be honest we weren't paying attention. Location was nice and quiet away from. The busy hustle and bustle. I broke my phone on the first night and am sad I never got to farewell our lovely hostess.
Negative: First time staying in Legian and not as close to things as we hoped (walking distance) although a few shops around the main strip (towards the beach) was still a trek if you wanted to walk. Could be down to lack of experience in the area but we couldn't find many food places close. Better clued up for a second stay in the area though. A lot of mosquito's and sand flies especially at the back of the beds/headboards. Mosquito nets around beds probably need replacing soon. Toddler was mauled on our last day and took 3 weeks to clear up once back home. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again as overall we enjoyed our experience.
