Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: This is a beautiful house with lots of space and everything you need for a comfortable stay. The host and staff at the hotel next door (where you collect the keys) were very helpful. The pool was kept very well. Being unheated it may not be warm enough to swim in all year but it looks lovely. It is about a 15 minute brisk walk into the nearby town where there is a small supermarket and bakery and other shops and restaurants or cafes.

Negative: This is an issue with Booking.com. My reservation confirmation said there would be a prepayment 14 days before arrival. However, this didn’t happen as I was supposed to pay the accommodation cost plus local tax per person per day at the property. Booking.com should update the booking information to make this clear. The house is next to the main coast road. Although it wasn’t noisy at night time in April it could be noisy in peak holiday season and, when there is a lot of traffic, it would be more difficult to drive in and out of the parking area that is provided next to the house.

Summary: A lovely place to spend some time on the Côte d’Azur.
