Positive: Sweet and wonderfully kind owners who do well in cleaning their property for guests. The home is very nice, beds are super comfortable and it’s great proximity to lots of beaches. There are some lovely places to eat in this town also. The home is clean which is incredibly important for me
Negative: The management company who mediates this property is hindering, not helping their business. There’s terrible communication between the company and the owners, and the owners weren’t even tracking my stay. Management company failed to reply on my check in day because it was a Sunday and their office was closed. If the management company were responsible for the cleaning it would be even worse but fortunately the owners do the cleaning themselves and therefore the home is well cared for. In my opinion, the management company who manages several homes in the area, only cares about the profits it’s making and does not give any proper customer service or care to this individual’s home. I felt that the fine print of blankets sheets and towel rentals was a huge disappointment, coming from the perspective of a tourist. Traveling with my family of 6, we booked a non refundable stay at this place and only found out afterwards that the towels blankets and sheets must be rented at €25 per person. That is unacceptable for people coming for a beach vacation. The last thing that people want to do on their vacations is bring towels, blankets and sheets. And to have to pay €150 is an astronomical fee, a burden that shouldn’t be put on guests. Had we flown in, this would have been impossible to bring in luggage and we would have had no other option but to pay the money to rent, after spending over $1500 on booking the house. We brought it all in our car on a 16 hour drive, which made the space for our road trip incredibly uncomfortable. If this is going to continue to be their policy, it should be front and center in the description, not mentioned somewhere obscure in the amenities list. Or just increase the price of the apartment rental and factor the sheet and towel rental into the price but do not do that to tourists. It feels like a huge slap.
Summary: Beautiful home, nice beaches close by, lots of things to improve on.
