Summary: This house is in a very good and peaceful , walkable Treasure Hills neighborhood in Harlingen,TX The house itself is quite large with very large bedrooms and a fairly large backyard. I wish the owner had taken care of the property, the large iron entry gate to backyard was taken off the hinges completely and set aside. Upon entering the door there is a step/ landing and slightly sunk in living room with no demarcation and I nearly tripped and sprained my ankle as there is no clear demarcation ,. The house itself is clean but devoid of any decoration and has bare walls , there were no hangers in closets , the cupboard/armoire and the kitchen cabinets are really old and it is hard to open and close drawers . there was no soap or shampoo in any bathroom except for hand washing liquid soap,the very large beautiful backyard was totally unkempt and no one had bothered to clean a thick layer of dust on the patio floor. The previous people had left open KY jelly tubes below the bed ( thankfully with closed lids ) and at least the bed and towels were clean and beds were comfortable. All in all, my family members just used the house to sleep and take a shower and they were with us all the time in our home in same neighborhood. This is actually a fairly large house and if properly updated and with a better backyard can easily rent for significantly higher ,but in its current shape and how it is being managed can be used to just sleep and bathe and nothing else .
