Our Cottage is located in the small, historic river town of Portage Des Sioux in the Mississippi River Valley. Visit this quaint and beautiful part of Missouri where the nearby river views and nature scene will not disappoint.
Visit our Lady of the Rivers Shrine! Explore the waterfront marinas, their eating establishments, or visit the corner bar and restaurant in town. The Grafton Ferry is 3 miles away. Cruise over the river in your car, to enjoy an afternoon in tourist hotspot Grafton, IL!
The space
Retreat from your fun-filled day, and stay in your own quiet and tiny tucked-away cottage in town, with happy cypress trees to enjoy.
You are welcome to bring food to cook small meals. The cottage is equipped with a cook top skillet and single burner, with pots, cooking utensils, and a full-size fridge. A grill is located outside the cottage for your use.
There is 1 bedroom with a king-sized bed and a nice, full-size futon in living room (no cribs available).
This is a wonderful and tight-knit river community with quite a history. Our Lady of the Rivers Shrine is a historical river landmark and a must see during your stay. Easy to walk, bike or drive to.
We highly encourage you to patronize our local businesses! We have a corner bar and restaurant in town called Froge's, and another bar and restaurant at the Longshot Marina. Slated to open soon is a mini market/convenience store.

Garage is accessible by hosts only.
Guests will have access to a tandem bicycle to ride around town and down to the river. Upon request, we can provide singlel bikes if not being used by other guests.
Other things to note:
We require potential guests to be 25 years of age or older and have been positively reviewed by a previous host.. Booking requests that do not have a previous host review can be declined.
The cottage is located in a neighborhood, therefore, guests must be mindful/respectful of our town and of our neighbors 🙂 Quiet hours are from 9pm-8am.
