The Fisherman’s Suite is a unique apartment located on the beautiful pebbled beach in the tranquil village of Marina del Cantone.
Once a fisherman’s lodge, this converted one- bedroom apartment is ideal for beach lovers looking to sit back and relax on the seafront or swim in the salty waters of the Mediterranean from sunset to sunrise.
The Fisherman’s Suite is located above an old boatshed, reflective of the villages’ maritime history. Access to the apartment is on foot. Paid parking is available at a private parking station located approximately 100metres from the apartment.
Split across two levels with separate entrances, the apartment is reached by a set of stairs from the foreshore boardwalk. The first level houses the living/main bedroom, a single bedroom and bathroom, while a small kitchen is located on the upper level accessible via an outdoor staircase.
Directly opposite the main entrance of the apartment is a lovely covered outdoor terrace area equipped with modern outdoor furnishings and spectacular views of the Mediterranean and surrounding mountain landscape.
Upon entering the apartment, you will step into an oversized living room/main bedroom with high domed ceilings painted in fresh pastel blues. This is the main room of the apartment and is furnished with a queen-sized bed, bedside tables, lounge (with single or double sofa bed option), spacious wardrobes, desk and simple furnishings.
Directly adjacent to the main living room/bedroom is a doorway that leads to a very cosy and neatly furnished second bedroom with a sofa (single/double sofa bed option). The uninterrupted sea views from this room are spectacular as the room directly fronts the sea.
The compact and newly renovated bathroom is located through a small door off the second bedroom. Beautifully decked out in blue tiles, the bathroom includes an open shower, WC and wash basin.
The kitchen is separate and is located on the upper level of the apartment. It includes a 4 hob gas stove, oven, fridge and all the necessary cooking utensils needed to enjoy the fresh produce of the area.
Marina del Cantone beach is known for its quaintness. This small fishing village is popular during the summer months with the locals and has a nice choice of cafes, restaurants, and private beach clubs with sun chairs and umbrellas available for rent.
Day trips to Capri Island, Positano and Amalfi depart from the small marina and private boats are available for hire if you are looking to explore the multitude of hidden inlets and beaches along the coastline.
