Positive: The location is great if you prefer to stay a bit out of Durango and closer to Trimble. The property is lovely, and the views are fantastic. We loved the spacing of the living room, being able to have a dining room table to all sit and eat at when we ate in the unit, and the in-unit washer and dryer were a huge plus. The two pools, hot tub, and gym on site were also a welcome break in the middle of the day when we wanted to relax in the room in between activities, but our kids were bored and wanted something to do. There were no utensils in the until when we arrived, but the rental company was quick to bring in several sets to fix the issue which we really appreciated.
Negative: The upstairs AC does NOT cool things enough in the summer. We followed the rules of not turning the AC past a certain degree but even with it as close to that as we could get, the rooms upstairs would stay around 88 degrees in the daytime and into the early evening. The windows are not able to be opened in the room upstairs so that method isn't feasible to circulate air and cool the room down. We also couldn't use the bathroom shower nearest the kitchen. We immediately put a work order in with the rental company, but they couldn't fix it during our stay. The fixtures themselves are pretty hard to use and would hurt my daughter's hand when she tried to turn them. This is minor, but the hallways are SUPER warm all the time. It's really unpleasant. I know that is not in the owner's control and on the resort management itself, but it's worth noting.
Summary: Lovely Unit and location but could use better cooling in the summer.
