Our beautiful home is nestled on 1.5 acres of natural wooded land with spectacular views overlooking the emerald waters of Norris Lake with private dock. Situated on Lakeshore Drive in the Hickory Star area it is convenient to the town of Maynardville and the Greater Knoxville area is only 14 miles away. Neyland Stadium, home of the Tennessee Volunteers is 22 miles away.
Our home has been completely remodeled from the studs out and including all new Kitchen, 4 Bedrooms, 3 Full Bathrooms, large living area upstairs and downstairs, front and rear decks overlooking the water and outdoor grilling area. Including the sleeper sofas our home can easily sleep 8 adults and with another 2 or 3 kids (10-11 total). Includes over 3,100 SF all for your enjoyment.
Master bedroom has King Bed, one bedroom has a queen, one has a full size, one bedroom has twin beds, couches and sofas make beds, too.
There are newly built wooden steps down to the lake and a substantial covered dock with boat slip for your use. This boat dock is complete with electricity and great for night fishing right from the dock. The dock is also a great place to swim. The water is deep in this part of the lake which is great for fishing and swimming and with deep water the dock is accessible by boat 365 days a year. Yippee! Best of all, the dock is all yours!
Our home makes for a great retreat for a larger family with kids, several couples, or even a small church group. You are just a short car or boat ride from Hickory Star Marina and Beach Island Marina ( Bubba Brew's- a popular hangout & marina on Norris). Pontoon Boats are all available for rent through either of the marinas and ski boats can be rented at Beach Island Marina. If you're looking for an escape in a secluded spot for the perfect vacation or getaway, this is your place!
Some of our favorite things about this property are the upper deck that is shaded until mid morning and again by mid afternoon making it excellent for that morning coffee or late afternoon wine & cheese. The front deck has a landing area with gas grill for those evening grill sessions. The downstairs den area is a perfect hangout for movie night (55” HD TV). It is also complete with a fire pit area for those cool evenings and Smore sessions. The real showstoppers are the spectacular views, the great kitchen with outside grill area and the large dock that makes for a great place to kick back and enjoy a cocktail.
For the more adventurous, a short boat ride across the lake and you have access to several rope swings and a 20 foot rock cliff for an exhilarating jump into the clear waters.
For the true fishing experience, we recommend Mel’s Striper Guide Service. Mel is a full time fishing guide with over 10 years experience guiding on Norris Lake. Mel maintains his personal 21 ft. Center Console boat equipped with the latest in fish finding technology. Morning trips up to 8 hours are based on fish catch & your preference.
Need a break from the lake for a day? A great idea for the most adventurous - there is Tubing or Rafting in the Smokies on the Pigeon River or Zip-lining through the Smokies.
