Summary: I’ve stayed at numerous Airbnb’s with mostly great experiences, but my stay at the Cary home on 9/16-9/18 changed that. The home is nice and spacious but is lacking in the area of cleanliness. The keyless entry is not “keyless”…the physical keys are in a lockbox. Upon entering the home we noticed a small bag of trash sitting on the table in the foyer; there was wet laundry in the washer and dryer…The dishes in the cabinet had condensation and food particles on them (looks like they were rinsed off and placed in the cabinets without drying them first). The toilet seat was completely broken in the downstairs hall bathroom. Inside the refrigerator there was a large dark stain that appeared to be dried blood possibly from a package of meat. My friends and I cleaned the area and decided to notify the property manager the following morning since it was late. The following morning before calling the property manager I found several soiled items, dried food and stains in the space between the headboard and mattress; the items were visible when making up the bed which is why I can’t understand how the cleaning person missed it! I removed the sheets from the bed only to find more stains and blood spots on the mattress pad. I contacted the property manager who was pleasant and apologetic regarding the home’s condition; she informed me that she would not be able to make it out that day but would be by on Sunday after checkout. I sent photos of my findings to the property manager via text. I also sent her a text informing her of the time of my departure and that a massive size roach was noticed in the kitchen while we were packing our items to leave. The home could easily be a 5 star if it was cleaned appropriately. The owner could also provide extra toilet paper besides what’s on the roll along. Bring your own towels and washcloths as there were maybe 5 towels and 2 wash cloths we pulled out of the washer when we first arrived and none in the linen closet.
