Summary: There were 3 problems. First, the unit we were shown on VRBO is not the unit we got. I specifically asked Sonder in advance about this (having been alerted by the review of another guest who didn't get the unit they were shown), and was reassured that we would get the unit pictured. We did not get the unit pictured. The unit was fine - but Sonder was not straightforward about this. Second, Sonder represents that there is security (in the form of ID checking) at the property. There is no such thing. That doesn't bother me - there is no security at a hotel either. But Sonder should not misrepresent the facts. Third, we were unable to use the luggage storage on site. There are 2 rows of storage lockers. There are good instructions for the top row of smaller lockers, but no instructions at all for the lower lockers (which have different locks). The security guard on site had no idea how to use them, but tried to be helpful and called Sonder, as did I. The person I spoke with was not sure how to work the locks either. Ultimately, Sonder allowed us to check in early, making storage unnecessary. This was not a good start to our stay! The unit was fine, and very clean; the tiny bottles of olive oil a great idea. Suggestion for Sonder: provide luggage dollies for guests to use who bring more luggage than they can manage without help!
