Newly purchased in 2020, each room has been updated with plans to continue upgrades. This large home on Westport Island is the perfect retreat from the stresses of life. The open concept with large cathedral windows overlooking the mile-wide Sheepscot River will offer hours of relaxation and a perfect dose of vitamin sea. Well-appointed living areas with tasteful decor and artwork throughout showcases the real focal point, which is the natural landscapesurrounding the home. The lower level has a king bedroom with views of the water as well as a multi media/living area. There is also a large full bathroom with a tub/shower combination.Sliding doors give access to outside and the pathway leading to the dock and shoreline.
Located just 8miles from Wiscasset, Sheepscot Lookoutis a short drive to grocery shopping and downtown Wiscasset which boasts many art galleries and restaurants; home to the world-famous Red's Eats as well as Sarah's Cafe, Water Street Restaurant, and Treats. Convenientlylocated 15 miles from Route 1, the house isa quick 30-minute drive to Brunswick and Freeport (home of LL Bean) and about2 hours from Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. Kayaks or SUP's can be rented from Midcoast Kayak and delivered right to the property. The large 20' x 8' dock is not just perfect for sunbathing, but also launching kayaks, swimming, or getting aboard a boat. Just a 10-minute boat ride to Five Islands and 30-minutes to Boothbay Harbor. Rent a boat for the week from West Harbor Recreation or launch your own from the public launch on Westport Island,Wright Landing Boat Launch.
