Please note: The island is accessible by passenger only ferry, Daufuskie’s isolation from the hustle and bustle of the mainland provides a one-of-its-kind experience for those looking to truly get away from it all. IMPORTANT: It is necessary to take a passenger only ferry or water taxi to Daufuskie Island, which is located between Hilton Head SC and Savannah, GA. You would leave your car on the mainland. Once on the island, you will need ground transportation from the dock to the rental and book a golf cart to get around.
