The villa is located along the path of customs officers (GR34, "le sentier des douaniers") at a walking distance from the beautiful beach of Les Sables d'Or (8-10mn) and its laguna. You can hardly be closer to the Golf of Sables d'Or which is only a kilometer away.
An overview of the villa:
o Ground floor
- large living room with triple exposure fitted with a large table for 14 people and 3 large sofas for enjoying a glass of nice French wine (see recommendations below for where to buy your wine in the area). The living room gives on a large terrace with a splendid view on an old Breton mansion ("Le manoir Saint-Michel") and its lake. The tables are light enough to be easily moved out on the terrace to enjoy having lunch or dinner out...
- kitchen fitted with a dishwasher, refrigerator-freezer, gas cooker, electric oven, microwave oven, food processor, toaster and kettle.
o Garden floor with summer kitchen fitted with a refrigerator-freezer, a dishwasher and a large table for 12 people that can be taken out on the patio for having lunch or dinner out. A room with a snooker and a bow window facing south.
o First Floor
- Large suite with double exposure (South and West) with a double bed (160 x 200cm) and a private bathroom
- Double room facing south with lake view (double bed, 160 x 200cm) and a private bathroom

Located in the garden the swimming pool is covered and heated throughout the year at 30°C (86°F). Large swimming area: 9.50m x 4.50m.
The house is surrounded by a large beautiful landscaped garden of 6000m² and a forest of pine trees.
Many walks start from the house. If you follow the path of customs officers towards the west you will first reach the beach of Les Sables d'Or (8-10mn), then its Laguna (20-30mn) and if the tide is low and you cross the little river of the laguna you will reach the little harbor of "Saint-Michel" and then the beautiful îlot Saint-Michel (cf. pictures) that you can reach at low tides. Further West starts the beautiful sceneries of Le Cap d'Erquy. If you follow the path on the East from the house, you will first walk through a pine forest (1km) and then will enjoy a succession of views from top of the cliffs and beaches (l'anse du croc, les grêves d'en bas etc.) towards Le Cap Fréhel. If you are courageous enough (or prefer a quick drive) you will reach the outstanding medieval castle erected on a rock "Le Fort La Latte" that was shot in many famous movies.
The coast is beautiful and wild. A fantastic place for those who love mother nature. The beaches are numerous and beautiful... Many beaches are fit for windsurfing or kite surfing. One beach is also well known for providing the right waves for surfing.
The Golf des Sables d'Or is located nearby (1km). Many options for playing tennis (Sables d'Or at 1km, Plévenon at 2-3 km, Erquy at 8km). Horse riding center located at 1.5km from the house nearby the laguna.
Shopping :
- A few shops in Fréhel & Plurien (2-3 km) - Boulangerie, Butcher, etc.
- Supermarket (Super U) at 6.0 km at the "Jeannettes" (towards Erquy). You will also find close to the supermarket a small farm producing & selling organic vegetables & fruits, & a fisherman who sells directly fishes from his catch.
- Erquy (8.1 km) : very lively in the summer. The butcher at the small "Carrefour" supermarket is known for providing really good meat. There is also a traditional butcher in the main street, a couple of fish shops, a very nice wine shop ("La Cave d'Erquy") which proposes a very nice selection of wines, whiskys and Rhums. You can stop there & enjoy a drink.
- "Le Val-André" is not far away (15.2km) & offers a nice selection of boutiques. Do not miss the famous (for generations) Lollipops of Val André. 100+ tastes…
- Oysters & seafood can be bought directly from an oyster farm at Port à la Duc (9.1 km)... You will hardly find anywhere else fresher oysters…
- Many restaurants & crêperies at Sables d'Or or Erquy. If there is one you should not miss it certainly is : "La crêperie du pêcheur" : you will eat buckwheat pancakes made according to a recipe kept secret by the Emery family for generations… Remember to book a table in advance in order to be able to enjoy this renown place.
