Positive: Very nice home, spacious, lots of things taken care of. The house comes with a small supply of toilet paper, detergent, etc. Towels are readily provided and the beds are comfortable. If you come with two very small cars and don't mind parking very close together, you can fit on the one parking spot without blocking access to any other areas. The location was good. A quiet neighbourhood with beautiful views from the windows. A garden is present with a big table underneath a canopy to provide outdoor seating in the shade if wanted. It was just a 15 minute drive to the Köln-Dellbrück S-Bahn station, where you could park for free as a public transport passenger, and take a 15 minute train ride into the heart of Köln. The kitchen was well equipped with multiple ways to make coffee or tea, a microwave, oven, and stove. Plenty of herbs, spices, and nonperishable foods were available for our use. The bathrooms were clean and comfortable. A washer and dryer were available to do laundry.
Negative: The house comes with just one parking space. This is as advertised, so can't complain about that. However, one parking spot for a house meant for larger families/groups is a mismatch of expectations. Public transport does not service the area, so by car is the only way to reach the house. Parking opportunities either need to be expanded, or the intended number of guests should be decreased. An ant trap was present in the house, but traps should be laid for other vermin as well. I saw multiple silverfish, which I don't find bothersome personally. However, I also found and killed a cockroach inside the house and I saw multiple cockroaches hiding outside in the space between the outside shutters and the downstairs bedroom windows. While these couldn't get in because the windows were closed, had they been open, they could've easily come inside.
Summary: Wonderful vacation home with just a few minor shortcomings
