A cozy, private cottage on 4+ acres with a private patio and views of a magnificent pond and waterfall. Nestled in between Larrabee State Park and the InterUrban Trail, guests have incredible access to Bellingham's finest trails for hiking, beach walks, mountain biking, paddling, meditating, grilling outdoors and soaking up the splendors of the Pacific Northwest.
The space
A quaint, cozy studio cottage with just enough room for two! The living space is also the bedroom. There is a small table to eat at, or sit on the back patio while you enjoy the sounds of nature, including birds and the waterfall. Some times of the year, the water is rushing while other times it is quieter.
Don't forget your day pack, hiking shoes, mountain bikes and kayaks because you can easily walk out the door, down the wilderness driveway and hop right on the Interurban trail or hop onto Chuckanut Dr for endless possibilities.
The cottage has a kitchenette, not a full kitchen, but one is still able to cook a meal with the induction cook-top as well as the convection toaster oven with the pots and pans provided. There is also a gas grill on the patio!
Guest access
The Pond Cottage is a separate building, located on several acres along with a main house where we live as well as our long term tenant and their art studio .
We ask guest's to respect our tenants' privacy but let us (in the main house) know if you need anything. Quiet hours after 8pm.
Feel free to wander the back of the property to view the pond or waterfall! Yoga mats are provided if you'd like to meditate or stretch on the platform with the waterfall as your background sound!
Other things to note
If bringing a dog, book your pup as an additional guest, with a $15 per night fee, and be sure to note to us in your booking message that you will be bringing a dog and agree to the guidelines.
Dog Guidelines:
*One dog permitted at a time.
*Please do not leave dog inside cottage alone unless you have a kennel to leave them in.
*Leash is expected at ALL TIMES outside of the cottage, as there are other folks on the property and possible other dogs.
*Clean up after pup's potty breaks.
*Wipe paws when returning.
*Help yourself to the "pup pantry" :)
