This private 3 1/2 acre gated estate has it all -

Enjoy comfort, serenity, privacy, yet a short distance from beaches, the Del Mar Racetrack, many world-class golf courses, and all the best that San Diego offers.
Over 320 roses line the flagstone path from the pool to the tennis court. Casita de Rosas (House of Roses) offers the ultimate in privacy, luxury, elegance and comfort. Staying here is like having a landscaped resort property all to yourself to enjoy. The pool, spa and tennis court are private for the exclusive use of casita guests.pool and spa are heatable at cost of propane used by guests.
The one-level guest casita is professionally decorated and offers two large bedrooms, each with its own full bathroom. The bedrooms and living room open to the pool and feature walls of glass to enjoy the fabulous views. The center great room has a vaulted ceiling with hand-crafted Douglas Fir beams and wood-burning fireplace with gas log-lighter. The great room contains living, dining and kitchen spaces in an open floor-plan.
Sleeping options: 6 Adults can sleep comfortably in three rooms. There is a Queen bed in one bedroom, Two Twin Beds (or one King bed) in the other bedroom, and a Queen Plus Luxury Comfort Sleeper (80 inch long bed & highest rated for comfort) in the Great Room. We can also bring in a small cot or pack n play crib for additional young guests.
There is extensive seating on the pool patios - a hammock, couches, fire pit table with circle of seating, many chairs with ottomans, two chaise lounges.
Below the pool is a hillside of fragrant lavender. There is indoor dining and a second dining area at a marble table overlooking the pool, under a flower-covered trellis.
Do you love to cook? The casita has kitchenette and cooking facilities: induction cooktop, convection oven & microwave, sub-zero under counter fridge. Additional full size GE side-by-side fridge-freezer and pool bar fridge, plus a 3-burner gas BBQ with additional gas griddle/ burner.
The waterfall will soothe you to sleep with its gentle sounds. Wind chimes catch the soft breezes and gently play their melodies.
Depending on the season, pick roses, fresh oranges, tangerines, white and yellow peaches, fuji apples, pears, apricots, nectarines, santa rosa plums, ever-bearing strawberries, pluots, pecotums, pomegranates, and extensive vegetable and her gardens which all grow in the estate's private gardens. The property is maintained organically and pollinators abound including bees (from which we will give you some honey), hummingbirds and songbirds.
There's YouTube TV on the HD Smart TV and Super High Speed (1 Gigabyte fiber) Wi-Fi Internet.
The casita has its own Miele washer and dryer.
The best beaches and surfing in San Diego are minutes away. Torrey Pines Beach is perfect for walking, running or parasailing. Enjoy golf on the numerous award-winging courses close by. Hot air ballooning is another activity to enjoy on your vacation. The property is a short distance to the Del Mar Races, beaches, Wild Animal Park and LegoLand, and just a bit further to the Zoo, Sea World and other San Diego attractions.
Restaurants in the area range from a cozy dinner at a Michelin-starred restaurant in Rancho Santa Fe or a night on the town in La Jolla, Del Mar or the Gaslamp District.

Want more? Orange County is only 30 miles away with more shopping, beaches and events. Wine tasting and concerts in Temecula are 30-45 minutes away. Skiing is only a few hours away.
Please note, we do not allow weddings, big parties or special events with large groups at the property. Only 6 adults can stay (4 in beds, 2 on the sleeper sofa). The cot is a very small camp-sized cot (smaller than a twin bed) and we have a pack n play baby crib. The property is best designed for no more than 6 adults.

Summary: My wife and teenage kids had a great time. Unfortunately I only stayed 1 of the 4 days myself due to other family medical issues. Ellen was involved from the get go. Very responsive and involved. She is ready to help you through any part of the process. My wife enjoyed the stay and so did the kids. Too cold to swim or use the jacuzzi. But they still enjoyed the stay. My likes: -Beautiful and well maintained -location is secluded which I like -communication excellent -the amenities like the pool and basketball hoop was great My dislikes: -I think 5 adults is a bit crowded but manageable. -it is truly a kitchenette good for easy prep foods but not for larger meals if you plan on doing things like this -My only complaint and it is just my opinion and does not take away from the experience. For the price, I did not like the fact that we would have to pay extra to heat the pool or jacuzzi. I know it's expensive to do this but it should be included. I gave everything a 5 star rating because my family enjoyed the stay. Thank you Ellen.
