Not everyone got their Prince Charming, but everyone can have a stay at Porch Charming! This darling cottage in the Village of Hammondsport is dressed in the cutest vintage styling and you will fall in love!
Porch Charming is located across the street from the Village park and is just two short blocks from Keuka Lake. Tucked a block and a half behind the Village Square and the downtown restaurants, this house is painted in colors that are an ode to the wine region. The house has a large front yard, screened in porch, and a small, fenced in back patio/yard area.
Walking in from the driveway, you'll enter the Dining Room with it's vintage yellow dining set and chalkboard wall for all those fun and important messages. Through the Dining Room, you'll enter the Kitchen. The Kitchen has the feel of the 1940's with some of it's vintage appliances, canisters, and decor. Pop on an apron and you'll feel like that 1940's housewife.
From the Kitchen, you can enter the Den with a couch and a few sitting chairs. This room leads to the laundry and the backdoor to the fenced in backyard. From the other Kitchen doorway, you'll enter the large Living Room. The Living Room has a small reading nook with a little desk for the small artists in your group to sit down with a coloring book and crayons. There is a large sitting area with a small electric fireplace, the front door to the sidewalk, and large patio doors that walk out onto the screened in porch....the Living Room is fabulous for an indoor/outdoor feel when the patio doors are open and you can come and go on the porch.
The Main floor full bath has been renovated and is beautiful with a jetted tub and tile surround. This bathroom is located at the bottom of the stairs to the second floor.
On the second floor is a large room at the top of the stairs...great space to spread out a yoga mat or two in the morning. Bedroom 1 has a King size bed and is down the hall. Bedroom 2 is spacious as well and also has a King size bed. Bedroom 3 has two Twin beds. The upstairs full bath has a walk in shower.
At Porch Charming, you'll take a step back in time and we hope time will slow down for you as you relax on the porch, cook in the kitchen, or explore downtown Hammondsport. You may not have gotten your Prince Charming, but Porch Charming will welcome you with open arms and you'll fall in love!
*Air conditioning is provided through window AC units.
