The Space:
The ideal location of Ponderosa Heights will have your group eager to walk the streets and find the best places to shop, eat, and explore. Boasting nearly 2500 square feet from the hardwood floors in the living room to the spacious master there is room for everyone to relax. The living room will invite you into this friendly space with ample seating and cable TV you'll be encouraged to drop your bags. Leading around the corner is the dining room with a beautiful table and chair set with room for up to 8. The kitchen is well appointed with stainless steel appliances and all of the basic cooking utensils you will need. The main floor bedroom with queen bed and attached half bath sit just off the dining room.
The door to the backyard will transport you to your own oasis complete with BBQ, outside seating and a firepit. Enjoy the evening stars while roasting marshmallows or throw the ball around in the grassy backyard while the shade of the large pine trees will keep you cool throughout the day.
Just off the kitchen is the newly renovated basement, when you're not exploring the city you'll find the whole gang downstairs. You'll find a 75-inch flat-screen TV with a DVD player, ready for movie night. The foosball table will keep everyone entertained and with the addition of a pullout sofa and two twin beds your group can spread out to find their own space.
Heading up the stairs is the open 'kids' bathroom, a large soaking tub and room for more than one little one will make rinsing off after a jump in the lake easy! Across the hall is the second bedroom complete with a queen and a full bed for hosting up to 4 people. The master bedroom has a king bed, a view of the backyard, and a private primary bathroom with a standing shower and dual vanity.
The early morning risers will enjoy the short walk to Wellness Bar for smoothies and acai bowls or grab lunch from The Olympia, Sweet Lou's BBQ, or Crafted Tap House, a few local favorites! For the night owls in your group, explore Mik's bar, Moose Lounge, or The Beacon, mere blocks from your front door. Summary: Had a wonderful stay although 2 things that happened that could have made our stay better 1. The house inside was SO HOT. The air conditioning had a lock set of not going below 69 degrees. Every time we would look at the air conditioning though, it would say “set at 69- but feels like 85”. Sleeping at night was nearly impossible when it felt that hot.2. The downstairs windows need shades. When there are beds downstairs under windows, once the sun comes out- so do you! The guests staying in the basement would be blasted by the sun which made sleeping in impossible.Other then those 2 things, great backyard and great location!
