Our 4-bed, 3.5-bath private home is 25 minutes from CO Springs with the convenience of grocery and restaurants 7 miles away. Stocked with luxury linens and conveniences for our guests, 3 living room areas for multiple families, a greenhouse & a hot tub; but what you'll love most is unplugging in the stillness of nature.

Retreat from the hustle of life in our tranquil, gated, beautiful Black Forest Mountain Home. You’ll be in a completely private space, surrounded by a pond and 15 acres of old growth Spruce and Ponderosa pine. You’ll also enjoy a fully stocked kitchen to make home cooked meals, and retire with luxury bath towels and Pimacott all cotton linens in the 2 bedrooms, plus one day bed in the living room.
You’ll be kept company on your walks through the woods by mule deer, foxes, black squirrels, wild turkeys, and even the occasional elk, moose, or bobcat. The pond, 100 feet off the deck of the house, is also full of bass and goldfish and available for catch and release fishing.
Inside the kitchen, you'll find a fully stocked kitchen with all the tools you need to cook yourself a gourmet meal from scratch: silverware, a full set of pots, pans, toaster, microwave, popcorn maker, etc. We also have tea, fresh ground coffee, and drip coffee maker ready for your quiet mornings. If you’d like to make pancakes, there’s Kodiak pancake mix ready for you to cook up and serve fresh. And if our chickens are currently laying eggs in the spring and summer months, we will have fresh farm eggs ready for you to fry up. (We live 10 minutes away for any other needs you may have during your stay).
Enjoy quiet time indoors playing board and card games with a large Great Room living area with boho leather couch and chair. The 55” OLED flat screen TV has Netflix, Prime, and Disney + available with surround sound speakers. There’s also TONS of kids’ puzzles, books, games, and toys, including a chalk and white board easel, metal trucks, and stuffed animals.
In terms of amenities, we've got you covered, too: you'll have access to all of the important things like an iron, blow dryer, towels, soap, shampoo, body wash, top of the line bath towels and bed linens, cotton swabs, etc – so no need to travel with those items when you stay with us.

Our four bedroom, 3.5 bath cottage is the perfect getaway for couples, families, and small groups. The Cottage is furnished with two king-sized beds, one queen-sized bed, one full bed, and two twin-sized beds.
Our house also has 3 living room areas! Chock full of books, games, and puzzles for you to truly unplug in the tranquility of the forest. One of the living room areas has a sun room for you to sit and enjoy the pond in the sunshine. Another downstairs den includes a couch, lounger chairs, and a foos ball table.
We also have an indoor greenhouse for you to zen out in, complete with running fountain.
The propane stove in the upstairs living room gives the house the perfect forest getaway feel, just like the magic of the woods around you. The heat is controlled by thermostat to ensure steady heat and comfort, with the rustic feel of the propane operated wood stove look and proximity to the great outdoors.
Talk about a work-cay-tion! You can answer calls and emails while overlooking a peaceful view of the pond, or take a morning stroll with your coffee among the forest and soak up the quiet surroundings. Return to start work from the deck in Adirondack chairs where the local wildlife will keep you company.
There is a hot tub is on the deck for you to relax in after your hiking and mountain biking adventures!
We are also very close to grocery, restaurants, and the local military bases. We welcome long term business stays. (What could be better than working from the forest with deer and birds chirping around you?). The fast wifi and massive solid wood kitchen table is an added bonus to being able to set up and work from the forest.
Our Forest Home is completely detached AND gated. There may be other guests renting in the Forest Cottage, about a quarter mile down the driveway, thus the outdoors and pond area would be shared. Otherwise, the property is 100% PRIVATE.
As I mentioned earlier, our forest cottage is so serene, relaxing, and so perfect, you'll want to stay forever. We've had guests ask to buy it on the spot :)(Seriously).

• 2 hours and 15 minutes (118 miles) to Buena Vista which has white water rafting, camping, mountain biking, outdoor adventure in Buena Vista and Pike and San Isabel National Forest areas
• 1 hour from Deckers or Woodland Park areas which host the same types of outdoor activities
*Since there are a pond and hot tub on the property, we are asking guests sign a release of liability form stating that you will not walk on the pond when it's frozen, releasing us from any injury or death. We want to make sure you understand the risks of a pond and drowning, etc. Thanks!
