Country living starts at the front porch. Ours has a swing, plus chairs where guests can sip lemonade and eavesdrop on the birds in the trees. Handsome wingback chairs flank the decorative fireplace in the living room, and a cushy sofa invites you to kick your shoes off and stay awhile. The décor is classic black and white, with natural textures and gentle splashes of color. Discover 1920s details throughout, including distressed wood floors, beadboard ceilings, and custom millwork.
French doors connect the roomy living and dining rooms—open wide for maximum space or close to create separate areas for TV-watching or quiet conversation. In the dining room, a window seat overlooks trees and a fenced pasture; the farm-style trestle table easily seats 8. The kitchen is a blend of the original (wide plank floors and rustic brick) and the modern (stainless-steel farmhouse sink and appliances).
Get a good night’s sleep in the large Farmhouse bedrooms.
