Summary: My husband and I and our grown kids as well as our 2 young grandkids stayed here for 5 nights. Let’s just say the location and neighbors were fabulous!! The house itself is older and could use some updates but overall a nice house. We did have issues with the AC working properly and being that our stay was during the 100+ weather that was a problem!! Luckily my husband is a handy guy and was able to “rig” it to work until repair people could get out and get it fixed!! The owners did discount our stay for 1 night for all the extra work on our part to take care of that! I was disappointed in the upkeep of the back porch area/patio furniture etc…it was full of cobwebs & overall dirty and didn’t look like any attention had been given to that area in months. It is a beautiful space with incredible views but we had to do our own cleaning to be able to enjoy it. The charcoal grill was one probably purchased for $20 new and let’s just say it was not new, so it really needs to be thrown away and replaced with something newer and overall in good condition. Also a negative was the fact that the kitchen was not “stocked” very little bowls, dishes etc. and not one, not one single dish towel to use to wipe up a spill or dry a dish with only 1 & a half roll of paper towels so we had to make a run to dollar general to grab more of those as well as only 3 extra rolls of toilet paper for 3.5 bathrooms so that was a must pick up as well. Not that grabbing some extras are a big deal but something that future renters might take note of when planning a trip. We brought our pontoon and was glad to have the boat slip available for use! That was a huge plus for us!! Overall we had a good week together as a family and hopefully after bringing these things to the owner’s attention it will make futures renters stay more comfortable!
