Positive: Loved the location and all the decks! The beach access is very close and one of the best constructed in the area (from walking about a mile in each direction). There were beach access areas that pretty much were inaccessible as the dunes changed over the 5-day stay. Not so for this St Waves area! And you could hear the waves so well from the house and you could go outside from pretty much every space in the house!! Could have used more outside seating in general - but especially on the rooftop deck. The Adirondacks on the deck off the living room were lovely! Very much loved the sunset view from the hot tub (screens need replacing though the breeze kept the bugs away)! And hot tub was kept at a good temp, easy to remove cover, seemed clean. Kitchen is well equipped but don’t expect anything to be left behind - not even ziplock bags or foil! Vacasa did leave soaps, a sponge, two dish towels, and toilet paper on each bathroom which were all much appreciated (and unexpected)! Appreciated ability to bring the dogs - but beware of the cacti in the grass surrounding the property! TONS of puzzles (tho some are missing pieces) and games and toys. Really excellent little loft area!
Negative: Found a number of dead bugs around the house (at least they were dead!) but it made me feel like no one has been in the house for awhile (though I’d been told I couldn’t even check in an hour early). The carpets may be clean but certainly don’t look it, so didn’t check closely!! Just wore shoes the whole time! Especially as I seemed to find dead bugs as well as lots of stains on the dark rugs. Really suggest removing those carpets! King bed was uncomfortable (very hard), unsure of the others. Also no true primary bedroom. All bedrooms share bathrooms. Appreciated the bathroom on the main level so didn’t need to go downstairs.
