Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The property is spacious and in a scenic location on the edge of the pretty village of Saint Sauvent. It is therefore great value for money (and would definitely cost more if the kitchen and bathroom were more modern). It is a great place for a tech detox with no TV or internet (but the mobile phone network coverage is good). We enjoyed cycling into Saintes via the flattish river route (D134 & D24)

Negative: Unfortunately the weather wasn't great when we stayed and the property has 3 extractor fans permanently on in the kitchen, bathroom and toilet which meant it could feel cold very quickly. There is no mention in the listing that there is also a 50 euro charge for cleaning, if you don't do it yourself, as well as 15 euros for per bed and 5 euros per towel.
