Summary: If you are looking for a super-clean place to stay that is reasonable (esp. for San Diego), and walking distance to transportation and Old Town, Mark's place is it. Mark is a wonderful communicator and everything is as advertised. I needed to change my reservation, and he was great about that. Everything was spic and span. The bed is very comfortable with soft linens. Apartment has most of the basics you need as far as kitchen equipment and supplies. My husband and I felt perfectly safe too! You can walk to the main area of Old Town in10 - 15 minutes, terrific restaurants and shops galore. A great gelato place is the other direction about 1/2 mile. And excellent coffee can be had at California Bean which is practically in their parking lot! Home and Away, next door, has delicious pub food and uber-friendly, helpful staff. I gave 4 stars because the parking is a little tricky. The first night it was pouring and I had to park about a block away. There weren't any extra blankets for the sofa so I used an extra bedspread while watching TV. It is on the third floor as previously mentioned so you need to be comfortable using a couple of flights of steep stairs. The shower is a little tricky. My husband had to pull it up really hard so all the water would come out 100% from the shower head, vs. half shower head and half faucet below. It was extremely noisy until you got that knob all the way up.
