The home was renovated in 2024, and offers three bedrooms with a bonus space and two full baths, and expansive main deck with unparalleled views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, an open concept indoor living space with plenty of comfortable seating, and a fully-equipped chef's kitchen. An enclosed sunroom with comfortable seating and windows on three sides allows guests to enjoy all-weather views. A charming squirrel theme (thus, The Nut House) extends throughout the home and honors the memory of the owner's parents, who retired here and worked tirelessly to keep the squirrels out of their bird feeders.
OUTDOORS: Outdoor on the main deck, you'll find ample space to relax and enjoy the amazing views and cool breezes of the Blue Ridge Mountains - with plenty of comfortable seating, dining space, and a grill (propane). Fire up the gas grill on the main deck and gather for dinner at the outdoor dining table. A smaller deck, just outside one of the lower-level bedrooms, is perfect for enjoying that morning cup of coffee or a relaxing nightcap. A large outdoor fire pit area with seating if the perfect backdrop to cap off an evening at The Nut House. S'mores anyone?
INDOORS: Step inside this well appointed, rustic-modern home and you'll immediately notice all of the custom, designer-curated touches - comfortable living spaces, beautiful furnishings, a newly renovated and fully equipped eat-in kitchen with a full compliment of stainless steel appliances, and a well stocked coffee and tea bar. For those working remotely or who just want to stay connected while relaxing in the mountains, The Nut House offers advanced technology and entertainment features: gigabit fiber internet throughout (even on the decks!); a dedicated office/work area with a higher-up version of the main deck's amazing views, large desk and laser printer; smart TVs with free YouTube TV, and universal phone/tablet charges in every bedroom. Those who prefer to disconnect will find books to read, playing cards, and a great selection of board games. At The Nut House, you'll find just about everything you need to feel right at home in this idyllic mountain setting.
SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS:
Upstairs, you will find two bedrooms:
The first is a generous primary bedroom with a plush king-size bed, nightstands, large dresser, smart TV, ceiling fan, two closets with generous hanging space, a very comfortable armchair, and a breathtaking mountain view. Just off the bedroom, sharing the mountain views, is the dedicated office/work area with a large desk, office chair, and a laser printer for your use.
The second bedroom offers an equally comfortable queen-sized bed, dresser, nightstands, closet with generous hanging space, smart TV, ceiling fan, and a lovely wooded view.
A large bath with double vanity is shared by the two upstairs bedrooms.
On the lower level, you'll find two more bedrooms - each with new, super comfortable beds ( one queen and one full). Just outside the two main level bedrooms, you'll find the second full bath.
Crisp linens, fluffy pillows, and plenty of soft, thick towels are provided. You'l also find extra blankets and throws throughout the house during the colder months. Forgot a toiletry item? Check the well stocked jars in each bathroom for a complimentary travel size spare.
