Cottage on the Green is a perfectly redesigned residence with 2 en suite bedrooms, a convertible den with a dedicated full bathroom, and a separate office space for those needing to work remotely. Situated in a charming enclave inside the gates of Mission Hills Country Club, the Cottage on the Green wins you over from the moment you walk through the front gate and are greeted by the colorful fruit dangling off a Sicilian tangerine tree. Climbing the few short steps to the entry courtyard the air gets cooler as you walk under the interwoven vines that appear to be keeping a secret, one that will be revealed to anyone lucky enough to step inside. Passing the private entrance to the guest suite on the right, you approach the first of many intimate seating areas (offering privacy and a great view) to the left of the front door. Before you step inside the vitality of this space washes over you…your vacation has officially begun!
Crossing the threshold into the great room the dining area and the completely stocked, state-of-the-art kitchen are on the left, a breakfast bar is straight ahead, and the living area with open gas fireplace is on the right. A new 75” Smart TV with Roku technology and surround sound adorns the wall and can be enjoyed from any vantage point in the room. But all that pales in comparison to the attention-grabbing scene unfolding just beyond the French doors opposite the front entry.
If the country club gave awards for outdoor living spaces, this home would be the envy of all its neighbors. Boasting a beautiful interpretation of the sought-after indoor/outdoor desert living space, at the far end of the patio stands a towering privacy wall covered with ivy, a majestic redwood tree, and a working fountain (imported from France), the walls of the home and chimney are covered by meticulously trained ivy. The border of the patio is a trimmed hedge dotted every few feet with a fruiting citrus tree. Opposite the fountain is the perfectly designed outdoor kitchen, complete with a 4-burner gas grill, a 2 burner cook-top, a pizza oven, sink with running hot and cold water, a pass-through window to the kitchen, enough counter space to film a cooking show, and a bar with seating for 3. The patio is furnished with a dining table for 6, and a chat set for 5. A prolific grapefruit tree grows over the outside kitchen offering shade (and breakfast) for you and your guests. The view is of the 16th hole of the Dinah Shore tournament course, and the entertainment offered by all that play-through will fill your afternoons with drama and laughter.
Back inside you notice the den off the far side of the great room makes for a quiet retreat; the perfect place to read a book or have an intimate conversation. Furnished with a trundle sofa, a very comfortable queen-sized bed converts the room to a bedroom for the last-minute overnight guest or visiting children.
Just beyond the great room is a long hall with the primary suite at one end and the guest suite at the other. Between the two are the hidden washer and dryer and a full bath with a deep soaking tub and bidet. The primary suite has a wall of closets, and separate sliding glass door out to the fountain-end of the patio, and a fully renovated bathroom with a no-threshold walk-in shower and bidet. Down the hall, the guest suite has ample closet space, a private full bath with shower and bidet, and an antechamber that has been furnished as a remote workspace with a wireless color printer, desk, and landline phone with free calling throughout North America and the United States. There is also a private entrance out to the entry courtyard. Both bedrooms are furnished with California King-sized beds, ceiling fans, and new Roku Smart TVs.
This home has a semi-attached private oversized 2 car garage and access to the community pool and hot tub is just 50 paces from the front door.

In light of the global pandemic, Greenday Vacation Rentals has taken the necessary steps to stop the spread of COVID-19, including self-check-in with the help of smart locks and tablet guides; adding disposable face masks, gloves and disinfecting agents to the long list of amenities included in the rental; following the cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing guidelines published by the CDC; ensuring that the home is vacant for at least 24 - 36 hours before a guest checks-in; and training our entire team about the importance of and 100% observation of social distancing guidelines. That is to say when the day comes and it's time for you to check-out you will feel rested, energized, and healthier than on the day you arrived.
Payment & Cancellation Policy:
A. Payment: An advance payment equal to 50% of the rental rate is required at the time of reservation. The advance payment will be applied toward the rent. Alternative payment options can be arranged by request. The BALANCE OF RENT is due sixty (60) days before your arrival date.
B. Cancellations of Reservations: A sixty (60) day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made more than sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date will incur $300.00 administration fee and will have all other payments refunded. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within 60 days of the arrival date, forfeit the full advance payment and reservation deposit. NOTE: In the event of a late cancellation or shortened stay, every attempt will be made to re-rent the unit. If we are successful in re-renting the unit, 100% of all monies paid (with the exception of $300 administration fee) will be refunded.
