3 Bedroom House with Air Conditioner, Entertainment and Internet

Enjoy real western history and heritage when you stay on a 110 year-old 35,000 acre working cattle ranch. The Guest House is an extension of the owners' historic 1920's stone ranch home, and sleeps a total of 6 (1 queen bedroom, 1 twin bedroom, queen size sleeper couch) with 2 bathrooms and a kitchen with full-size appliances, including a full size cooktop with a convection microwave above (no oven) and dishwasher. A large private patio includes a gazebo with outdoor table w/6 chairs, grill and fire pit, perfect for star gazing in dark skies unpolluted by any city lights. We are NOT able to accommodate pets outside, and pets are not allowed in the Guest House. Children must be 3 or older, fishing, hiking and swimming are about 3 miles away in Beaver Creek and West Clear Creek in the summer. (See notes under photos) In the winter, skiing and snowplay at Snowbowl in Flagstaff are about 1.5 hours away. The Grand Canyon is about 2 hours away, there are about 4 miles of dirt road leading to property.

Summary: The property is beautiful and the host is very accommodating. A few things I wish I would have known. This is listed as a three bedroom and it is a two bedroom, I filtered by three bedroom, since the bed layout didn’t concern me I didn’t pay close attention to the descriptionI suppose I bear some responsibility as I didn’t closely review the setup. There are two bedrooms with a pullout in the main area. While not ideal we made it work. I knew the owners live on property, I did not know the VRBO cabin is physically attached to their house so they are very close & were on property pretty much 100% of the time. Again not ideal but not really a problem. There are dogs, we all love dogs, they have several in their house and several larger dogs down by the cattle. The problem was the barking, the dogs bark a lot, anytime you walk near their yard they would bark, protecting the property I suppose. The larger dogs barked often in the evenings when we would sit by the fire. There is no fire wood provided so bring your own. It takes awhile to get there so it would have been nice to know that ahead of time as it is at least 30 min to drive to a store to pick some up. Some reviews talked about farm fresh eggs and firewood but that was not our experience. Very accurate description on the location, we enjoyed being out of the city hustle and bustle.
