Positive: This is one of the best self-catering properties we have ever stayed in. The property was imaculate and was very well equiped. The decor was lovely, the seating dining room was comfortable. Everything you could ever need was provided in the kitchen (except for your food, you need to provide, of course). The two double bedrooms were well equipped and the beds very comfortable. A range of books and games were available, if needed. Communication with the host was easy and he responded very quickly to questions. The location was great for our needs with easy trips made to Grange-over-sands, Ulverston, Hawkshead and Windermere. The overall surroundings were lovely with nice easy walks on the doorstep. There was a well stocked local shop across the road, a short walk to the train station (we used it to get to and from Grange and Ulverston). A five minute walk took us to a garden centre (Flookburgh) that had a fantastic coffee shop that stocked hot and cold food and fantastic cakes. Flookburgh also has a fish and chip takeaway. The local pub was a minute away from the property and was a decent place for a drink. Unfortunately the kitchen was closed while we were there for some reason so I cannot comment on the food.
Negative: There was nothing about the property we disliked. For some people, there may be an issue with traffic noise as it is on a rural road with farm and other traffic, but it didn't bother us.
Summary: Great place to stay and we would certainly recommend to others
