A cozy, design-minded home with easy access to Hudson. Set on over three acres in the beautiful town of Ghent, New York, the 1920s cottage has been thoughtfully updated with an eye for design.
The three downstairs bedrooms are nearly identical, each with its own queen bed. Additionally, the upstairs bonus room has a custom built-in inspired by Donald Judd’s plywood furniture that includes two queen daybeds for lounging.
There are two full bathrooms, one on the main floor and one in the upstairs bonus room. The main floor bathroom was renovated in September 2022.
The kitchen is stocked with everything you’d need to prepare a gourmet meal with the local delicacies you’re bound to find. The dining room offers seating for 6 guests.
The cottage is located on a large private property surrounded by trees. It includes a fenced-in, spacious backyard with a deck and picnic tables. A wood-burning stove inside and a fire pit outside are available to complete your cozy upstate fantasy.
The entire property is yours during your stay. Two upstairs closets are locked for the host's usage only.
The WiFi is reliable and there are dedicated workspaces for anyone looking to work remotely from the property.
Please note that the house is located on State Route 66, a double yellow country road. While the property is very private and safe thanks to the fence and surrounding foliage, you will be able to hear cars passing while outside.
