GUEST ACCESS
Guests have exclusive access to the cabin and outdoor spaces of the house. There is a river hike within a short walk of the cabin.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
Due to the nature of our mountain location, our home may lose power during weather events. Outages typically last for 2-3 hours when this occurs. Flashlights and extra blankets are provided for these occurrences. When power is out, cooking options are limited. If a guest chooses to check out during a power outage, a refund of the nightly fee will be provided. Guests choosing to keep their reservation will be charged the full booking amount.
While we have the fastest internet available, you will find that reliability and speed at the base of the mountain are not the same as you may experience in the city. There is a large collection of DVDs, games, and an amazing hot tub to pass the time should the internet be out.
The hot tub is serviced weekly. While it typically can be used 30 minutes after service is complete, if a water change is necessary, the hot tub will take 4-5 hours to reach the desired temperature.
Grill, patio furniture, and/or hammocks are available Memorial Day through Labor Day. They are not available in the winter months.
Please be aware that our cabin is located in a rural neighborhood shared by vacation cabins and local residents. While the community is filled with kind neighbors always willing to lend a hand, some of the surrounding lots may be in less-than-ideal condition. This adds to the charm and character of the area, but we want guests to be aware that the environment may feel more rustic than a typical suburban setting.
We allow guests to bring up to two dogs that are 2+ years of age at time of stay. A $60/dog fee is charged per stay. We are not able to host any other animals/pets. A $250 fee is assessed for unregistered dogs.
-Dogs must be 2+ years old at time of reservation to stay.
-Dogs are only allowed on hard surface areas of home (kitchen, family room).
-Dogs may not go into bedrooms or lofts.
-While we'd prefer for dogs not to be on the sofa, we do provide extra blankets and/or sofa covers that can be used if this is not possible for your dog.
-Dogs must be crated if left unattended.
-All excrement must be picked up outside.
-Dog hair should be removed from all surfaces prior to your departure.
-Dogs must be on a leash when in the neighborhood and may not wander onto the neighbor’s property.
