This pet-friendly luxury log cabin is part of a 25-acre private estate high on a mountainside overlooking a lush valley. Sunrise from the front porch is awe inspiring. The previous owner was Francis Woodruff, an heiress to the Coca-Cola fortune. She operated the property as a hang gliding resort and petting zoo. Cows, goats, pigs, chickens, and dogs are raised in the barns below the cabin and welcome your visit. You will be minutes from Lake Burton, Lake Rabun and Lake Seed and only 2 miles to Kingwood Golf Course. You will be only 7 miles from world-class white water rafting & kayaking on the Chatooga River and you will be surrounded by thousands of acres of US Forest Service land. You will find Appalachian crafts & art 3 miles away in downtown Clayton. Enjoy the views of North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee & the Great Smoky Mountains. There is a wide creek and covered bridges in the valley below. Enjoy total privacy upon entering the property via 3 electronic gates.
